Bernard Nicoletti’s grandfather came from Umbria and worked as a transporter of building materials. Sometimes paid in grapes, he started to make wine. The family contruction/cement business? continued and as it was as a successful business man that Bernard and Jacqueline Nicoletti bought their domaine, created in the 1880s by the Hooper family, in 1993, and over the next three years restored the estate, planting traditional vines and starting to make wine.

The domaine has 7ha covering the hill of Toasc, from which the domaine takes its name.
The vineyard terraces have a difference in altitude from top to bottom of 180m, giving variation.
The presence of vin de pays wines made from young vines is a good sign – vineyards are still being planted. On average yield is 35hl/ha, manually harvested – difficult to do otherwise on the terraces. Average alcohol of the wines is 13%.
